As you may have noticed, it was rather quiet on this blog last month. I was in Kenya with some of my teammates waiting until we got the okay to return to South Sudan, then doing all the things necessary before returning (visas, shopping, packing, etc.). We are so saddened by the conflicts and suffering in many parts of the country since mid-December, but very grateful that the situation in our state has remained calm throughout this time.
I flew back from Kenya two days ago on a Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) charter with my teammate Julie and her three children and my teammate Laurie. Here are some pix of our arrival at a small airstrip in a town near our village.

Good to see you getting back to normal.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is indeed great to be back into normal life.
DeleteGratifying to learn that peace has prevailed in their area, plus seeing Jane, a fem MAF pilot..
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. Yes, great to have a Kenyan woman flying with MAF Kenya. She is a wonderful role model. She chose to serve with MAF instead of more lucrative work with commercial airlines.
DeleteHave been praying for all of you and your safety and will certainly continue! So glad to see the Lord working. He certainly uses all of you there to bring those dear people to Himself!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers! Through them, you are an important part of what God is doing here.
DeleteLoved the pictures of "everyday" life with the arrival of the plane. So glad that you are all back safely and in relative peace. May God continue to prosper your work there!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather!
